As you know I have been contracting at Qwest Communications for 7 months now praying for a permenant position. Due to some FCC loop holes Qwest local and long distance were able to join togeather and now they are trying to consolidate job functions which means probably no perm. spots opening up.
I applied to a job at Verizon and got an interview. I took the day off today so I could go. I interviewed w/3 people and when they were walking me out they said they would make a decision and will let the recruiter know so she could inform the candidates in a couple of days.
I have been praying about this going well for multiple reasons. I felt the interview went extremely well and so did the interviewers.
I left at 10 after 2pm and got home just after 3pm. At 340 the recruiter called me and asked how I felt the interview went. I told her it was the best interview I had ever been to and that I felt at home there and comfortable w/the people. She said they did too and offered me the job!!!
She said that she had never seen anyone get offered a job that quickly after an interview. They even gave me more money than I asked for!
I am going to give my 2 weeks notice tomorrow and will start with Verizon on the 23rd of April.
GOD IS SO GOOD, I am overwhelmed at the blessings he has given my family and I.
