It is such a blessing to live in a country where we enjoy so many freedoms. Remember those who gave their lives in service of our country. There seems to be a growing trend here of taking for granted and forgetting the price that was paid for any of our freedoms but especially the freedom of Salvation.
Freedom of Religion: This is a wonderful freedom that we have to be able to openly worship our God, unlike many countries where you would be jailed or even lose your life for such acts. It reminds me of a book I read by Randy Alcorn, Safely Home, if you have not read it you should.
Freedom of Speech: We can share our faith with everyone/anyone without the threat of persecution (yet). In the wise words of my friend, we have the freedom to listen or not to listen too.
So far today, God, I've done all right. I haven't gossiped, I haven't lost my temper. Haven't been grumpy, nasty or selfish. I'm really glad of that. But in a few minutes, God, I'm going to get out of bed; and from then on, I'm probably going to need a lot of help.
